Puerta Aventura

Themed to a beach resort in southern Mexico, this area serves as the "Main Street" of the park. Although it does not have much to see, it is an immersive area that puts you in the adventure mood, and even features a Mayan pyramid at the end that you can walk around.

After passing by the spire, guests will enter through the gates and find themselves in the park. Here, they will find World of Wonders Trading Co. on the right, the largest store in the park, as well as the Expedition Station on the left, which offers help and services to the park. Going further down, guests can have Mexican food at La Cantina del Mar and snacks at Aventura Bakery. Guests then go under a bridge and further into the land. Here, they can shop at Jewels of the Sea and Treasures of the Caribbean on the left or shop at Clothing Corner and eat at Den of the Confiscated on the right. The latter is an immersive dining location where guests can eat exotic food while being surrounded by items confiscated from the other six lands. At the end of the area is the Mayan pyramid, which is mainly a decoration, but it's still cool to see, and going behind it will offer the best views of the park.

When choosing a "Main Street" area for the park, I wanted something to give guests a feeling like they were going on a grand adventure. I wanted to do something tropical and exotic, so eventually, I decided to do something Latin American, and my mind immediately went to Mexico. Not only have I been there, but I feel like it would be an interesting way to transition into this park about the world.
